San Diego, CA -- On a sunny day in Southern California and sandwiched between the masters and professional races, Corey Gorgas (NAU) and Brooke Rauber (Tully High School) claimed titles at the 2020 USATF Cross Country Championships, becoming eligible for Team USATF at the Pan American Cross Country Championships in Victoria Canada on February 29, 2020. Full results can be found here. Gorgas, a freshman at Northern Arizona University, dominated the under-20 field beating Evan Bishop (East Grand Rapids, Michigan) 25:44.8 to 26:21.6 over 8km. Bridger Altice (Utah State) rounded out the top-three with stronger finish, crossing the line in 26:38.2. In the junior women’s race, Rauber defeated freshman Rayna Stanziano (St. Mary’s College) stopping the clock at 22:11 to 22:47.6 in a 6K race to win her first USATF national title. Kalea Bartolotto (Northwestern) crossed the line third in 23:09.5. In the senior races, Anthony Rotich and Natosha Rogers rolled to victory at USATF Cross Country Championships.
