Hall’s 15K win earns her USATF Athlete of the Week honors
INDIANAPOLIS --
Marielle Hall
(Portland, Oregon) won the USATF women’s 15K road title to earn USATF Athlete of the Week.
Hall, who was eighth in the 10,000m at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, dominated the 15K at the Gate River Run in Jacksonville, Florida, winning by 58 seconds in 48:52. By the 5K mark, Hall had established a comfortable lead over the pack, and by 10K she was 30 seconds ahead of her nearest challenger. The win was a first for Hall on the USATF Running Circuit this year and it moved her to fifth in the point standings.

Ridouane Harroufi —
Harroufi won the men’s USATF 15K title in Jacksonville by one second over Frank Lara.
Caleb Boger —
Boger, a freshman at Barton County, ran the world’s fastest indoor 200 by a U20 athlete, clocking 20.68 to win the NJCAA title in Lynchburg, Virginia. That made him the No. 10 all-time world U20 performer.
Now in its 19th year, USATF’s Athlete of the Week program is designed to recognize outstanding performers at all levels of the sport. USATF names a new honoree each week and features the athlete on USATF.org. Selections are based on top performances and results from the previous week.
