Athletes are still keeping busy, but finding time to answer a few questions for us to help their fans get to know them better. This is our seventh installment with 2016 Olympian and 2017 World Championship bronze medalist in the discus, Mason Finley. USATF: What is your favorite competition memory so far? Why? Finley: My favorite memory was winning the Olympic Trials in 2016 and making my first Olympic Team. It was a great feeling to finally accomplish my Olympic dreams and come out victorious in the craziest weather conditions I have ever competed in. USATF: What is your favorite movie? Finley: Depends on the Genre.
USATF: Do you have pets? What kinds? Finley: Yes! I have two dogs named Blu and Denfi. Blu is a 6-year old Border Collie Mix and Denfi is a 1-year old Komondor Mix. USATF: What’s your favorite exercise you can do at home, at a hotel or at the airport? Finley: Mobility exercises. A lot of band work and foam rolling. USATF: What other sports have you participated in? Finley: Growing up I played football, wrestling, basketball, soccer and track and field. I was a multi-sport athlete, but year-round my dad and I were throwing twice a week to keep the feel of the discus. USATF: Lastly, name one thing you’re grateful for and why. Finley: I am grateful for my wife, dogs, family, friends, and Rocket League.
