Team USATF brings home five medals from 2020 Pan Am Cross Country Championships
VICTORIA, Canada -- Team USATF earned five medals at the 2020 Pan Am Cross Country Championships, led by head coaches Rita Gary and Thom Hunt.
The U.S. went 1-2 in the men’s junior race. NAU’s
Corey Gorgas
built off momentum from winning the 2020 USATF Cross Country Championships junior men’s race in January to take top honors again, earning gold in Canada in 27:15. Gorgas was five seconds ahead of teammate and second-place finisher

(Grand Rapids, Michigan).
Brooke Rauber
(Homer, New York) of Tully High School crushed the junior women’s race with 23:12 (3:52km pace), winning her first gold for Team USATF. Her senior counterparts found success as well, with
Carrie Verdon
(Moraga, California) claiming silver in the women’s 10k.

Anthony Rotich
(El Paso, Texas) placed second in the senior men’s 10K in 32:50, followed by
Dillon Maggard
(Kirkland, Washington) in fourth (33:23).

Grace Stark sets pending world U20 record in women’s 60m hurdles
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Florida freshman Grace Stark ran a sensational 60m hurdles at the SEC Indoor Championships over the weekend, clocking 7.93 in the prelims and then 7.91 in the final to earn silver behind senior Tonea Marshall of LSU.
Stark represented Team USA at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, where she earned gold in the 100m hurdles.
