USATF 10 Mile Championships, 2020 USATF Mountain Running Championships canceled Indianapolis – The USATF 10 Mile Championships originally set for October 4, 2020 hosted in conjunction with the 2020 Twin Cities Marathon Weekend in Minneapolis/St. Paul , Minnesota, has been canceled. In addition, the 2020 USATF Mountain Running Championships slated for August 16, 2020 in Mt. Hood, Oregon, have been canceled, USATF announced today. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Local Organizing Committees informed USATF that it would not host the championships. Svein Arne Hansen President of European Athletics and organizer of the Bislett Games, Svein Arne Hansen, passed away on Saturday from health complications following a stroke he suffered on March 15. He was 74. Oregon Track Club defeats Atlanta Track Club in cross-country virtual dual On Saturday, a head-to-head event dubbed “Return of the Dual” featured athletes from Oregon Track Club Elite and Atlanta Track Club Elite competing remotely in two distances and a mixed relay to raise money to fight homelessness and hunger in the greater Atlanta and Lane County areas. Oregon Track Club defeated Atlanta Track Club six to one in the first edition of the event that can be re-watched here. Return of the Dual has raised $7,758 with a goal of $10,400.
