USATF signs affinity partner Pilates for Sports
Indianapolis -- Pilates for Sports has joined the partnership family as an affinity partner of USA Track & Field (USATF), USATF announced today.
The partnership running August 2020 to December 2024 will provide USATF members with a 20% discount off monthly memberships, a free 14-day challenge, a free weekly live pilates class online and entry into competitions such as the current ICONS competition which offers a free trip to Australia.
“We are fortunate to partner with Pilates for Sports to bring added value to members with continued benefits and resources to support the USATF community,” USATF CEO, Max Siegel said.
Pilates for Sports online training is an innovative strength and conditioning program that can be done anywhere, anytime to suit the needs of the time-crunched athlete.

Pilates workouts, mini-challenges and form tips combine to help the athlete improve specifically in running. The running specific pilates program elements include:
The running stride - foot strike, leg stance, take off knee drive phase, arm carry
Power and stability - sprinting, long distance, hill running, cross country, agility (even though a runner may not do all of these types of running, there are elements of each that will improve the overall strength and balance of a runner)
Common issues faced by runners - tight shoulders, weak core, sore lower back, tight hip flexors, weak glutes, weak ankles
